Warehouse Operator

LOCATIONS:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

You will be required to work within a small team and operate on a double day shift pattern - 6am - 1.30pm, 1.30pm - 9pm rotating weekly. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you will undertake the following tasks:

Operating handling equipment, reach and counterbalance forklift truck (license required)
Receiving and putting away finished goods and raw materials using the PECAS or ATMS systems
Picking finished goods and raw materials using the ECAS or ATMS systems
Printing despatch notes and customer certification
Creating and applying labels
QC checking
Loading and unloading of vehicles
Stock checks
Housekeeping duties
Processing work through the warehouse in a timely and accurate manner

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:

Can work on own initiative and as part of a team.
High level of accuracy in carrying out tasks with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to see tasks through to completion.
Flexible approach to work.
Willing to work shifts.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have a fork-lift truck licence - reach truck or VMA licence preferred, or prepared to be trained.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

The successful candidate will ideally have previous warehousing experience, have good communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, must be able to work in a face paced environment, be a good team player, self-motivated, able to make decisions and also provide over-time cover.
